Big Trouble

            The doggie wasn’t actually to far from where we were originally.  To top it all off, much to everybody’s surprise he lived in a really nice house.  The Mayor was speechless by this and Barney and the others were like me, bewildered.  Shouldn’t a rich human be able to take care of their pets?

 Well, this was a black lab and he looked awful.  He was really skinny and his tongue was hanging out.  To top it all off he was on a short chain outside.  He saw all of us there just looking at him and didn’t do anything!  He actually rolled around and went back to sleep.

Now, the two kitties that told us about this poor pup (Charlie and Freddy) were almost relieved that we finally got to see the dog.  “See,” Charlie said.  “We told you he was bad.”

They weren’t only right they were almost to correct because Barney was studying the dog like a human doctor that’s when he told us that he wasn’t breathing!!
