Let me just say that
the Mayor enjoyed his niptinis. I think
that’s the main reason why he wanted to go surfing. He wouldn’t come out and admit it
though. Hey I couldn’t get into any kind
of meowy debate with him though bepaws he was right. There was just something about a niptinis that
made you ready to purr.
And I mean purr…
As a matter of fact, the niptinis were getting every cat
all meowing and ready to surf. The thing
was, we weren’t sure (at first) where to find surfboards to rent. When we were pawing on the beach we kept
running into pups that were running surfboard stands that refused to rent
anything to us. As a matter of fact,
this old bulldog said that he refused to have anything to do with any “nipped
up cats.”
Cranky bulldog. He
wasn’t the only one though. There were a
couple of shaggy dogs that just flat-out barked out they hated cats and when we
finally found a beagle who didn’t mind renting to cats he actually rented his
last board to a poodle!
This was a really weird thing.
Anyway, Barney had to ask a beach cat where to rent. The beach cat, for the record was a long,
lean black cat with a long tail and lots of sand in his fur. Well, he meowed out that we had to go down
towards the end of the beach and find Tony, a tiger-striped cat with a big
head. He had anything and every kind of
board to ask for and he charged a reasonable nip price.
It sounded good and the Mayor was off in a flash. I didn’t know he could actually move so
fast! But it was easy to understand why,
it was a beautiful day, with the sun pounding down and the sand felt so good. The water was nice and blue too with a great
foam and don’t let any human ever tell you that cats don’t like water! We always appreciate a good dip in the nice
ocean water-MOL…
