The Contest

We worked our paws off all afternoon.  Barney even had a claw fall off.  But you know what, that baseball/park castle was looking good.  To me it even looked real like players could play there.  Now, Barney even clawed out the team names from last night and made a little figure of Corey P. Cat.  Like many of cats in the contest, we were finished right when the judges came.  I was really happy to see them and I was sure that we were going to win, especially since the judges stopped by our castle first.

Guess what happened?  We didn't win.  Do you know who won?  Smokey's group and we came in third.  At first I was disappointed but then we went over to bat the paws with congratulations.  They did really good and their castle looked creepy too.  I was glad they won and so was Barney.  Do you know what was great about everything?  We got a gift certificate to eat out.  Smokey, well, got a trophy (she actually got a pic with the trophy), a certificate to eat out and a certificate for a great beach store that all three of us liked.  Anyway, you might've guessed, we made up and all of us went out to eat.

It was a great night...
